Creative arts
Inquiry-based learning encourages students and children to explore. This exploration of new concepts and ideas is what encourages children to construct their own understanding of the world through experiences and critical reflection of these experiences. Curiosity is fostered in a safe and comfortable space; it is here that children get to imagine, they get to play, discover, collaborate and grow confident in independent learning.
Our goal is to focus on the development and well-being of the whole child and to be purposeful in guiding each individual in their personal development by exposing them to and encouraging development of the necessary 21st Century Skills that are vital in navigating the world today.
Imagination and play are the foundation to impactful learning. The Creative Arts provides a platform for learning in synergy, through fine arts, performing arts, music, movement and dance, rhythm and rhyme. Furthermore it encourages both independent learning and collaborative learning. Each child determines their progress according to their strengths and are afforded opportunities to collaborate, create and play with their peers throughout the learning process. The children will embark on a new adventure each term with carefully selected, age-appropriate lessons, activities and learning opportunities.
Our Discovery of the Arts Program has been carefully curated and designed to encourage exploration of ideas through inquiry-based learning by a qualified and experienced professional educator with an Honours Degree in Performing Arts. Not only will this program enhance your intra-mural and extra-mural offering, it will provide educational support and opportunities for extension in the classroom.
